In the Arms of Elders starts with a gripping parable called “Learning from Hannah” that describes what happened to one young couple as they are marooned, become part of a new society organised through the wisdom of elders, and then need to forge a new place for themselves when they go home again. Many parallels exist in the experience of older people in our society. When elders are not marooned but instead have a place at the core of a community, the ripple effect of their contribution is immeasurable.
Join Dr Thomas and his wife Jude as they are magically transported to an undiscovered land called Kallimos. Meet the people of Kallimos who understand the value of building a society around the needs and capacities of Elders. Share the wonder of the stories and their relevance to each of the 10 Eden Principles and our lives today. Gain some understanding as to how we can make a world of difference to the lives of elders…if we only think more about their wisdom and what we can learn from them.
