The Eden Alternative philosophy asserts that no matter where we are on the continuum, ageing should be seen as a continued stage of development and growth, rather than a period of decline. Building on this new paradigm, the person directed approach affirms that care and support is not a one-way street but, rather, a collaborative partnership.
